Written by the Watt Mile editorial team. We sign as a team, not with a personal name, and we never use an invented persona. Our method is the same on every page: we read the makers' and stores' published product pages and public data sources, quote the figures with the date we read them, run the calculations shown on the page, and pick models with written rules, never by commission. Watt Mile compares e-bikes from the figures their makers publish on their own U.S. stores, and adds public data: electricity and gasoline prices from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, state e-bike rules from the PeopleForBikes state handouts.
